Privacy policy
This website
lanterntrace.com sets no cookies and loads no analytics, advertising, or third-party scripts. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard server logs — IP address, requested page, browser type, time — for security and operations. If you book a call through the link on this site, Calendly's own privacy policy applies to what you enter there.
The application
What we collect
- Account information: name, work email address, organization, role, and the capabilities an administrator grants.
- Inspection records: the facility, floor, zone, room, and equipment information technicians enter; test results, measurements, deficiencies, notes, and photos of equipment; who recorded each item and when.
- Technical data: sign-in events and the device's local storage of pending uploads. We do not fingerprint devices or track location.
Trace is not designed to collect patient information, and we ask technicians not to photograph people, charts, or screens.
Why
To run the application: store and sync inspection records, enforce who can see what, produce reports and daily recaps, and support the organizations that use it. We do not use records for advertising and do not use them to train machine-learning models.
Who it is shared with
| Recipient | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase, Inc. | Database, authentication, and file storage (US West region) |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosting and delivery of the application and this site |
| Twilio SendGrid | Sending the daily recap email to recipients the technician chooses |
| Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google | Only if an organization turns on vision assist: equipment photos sent for a proposed reading |
| Your organization | Records belong to the organization that created them; its administrators control access |
We do not sell personal information. We disclose information when the law requires it or to protect the safety of a facility, after notifying the organization where we lawfully can.
Retention and deletion
Inspection records are kept for the life of the customer relationship, because facilities rely on them years later. An organization administrator can request export or deletion of their organization's data, and an individual can ask to have their account removed, by emailing the address below.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit; access is scoped by organization at the database layer; the application carries no privileged credentials. Details are on the security page.
Children
Trace is a professional tool and not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will note the date at the top and tell organization administrators by email.
